Alliance faction points question
I went into my guild and tried to buy the PVE factions skill, but apparently on one of my other chars I had gone kurzik (my first factions char went luxon, then my elemental from proph went kurzik because I wanted to try all the missions and whatnot) and my guild is luxon, so... couldn't buy it! So I just spent the last 2-3 days going through factions and getting up 10k luxon points to befriend the luxons on my Dervish. ...And now I'm being told I can't buy the skill because I haven't given 100,000 or so points to the luxons through my "alliance."
Now, I don't know if points given by other people in my guild/alliance help or not, or if it's just what I give. (Cuz frankly, it's going to take me for-freaking-EVER to get 85,000 more luxon faction points. x_x;; ) if the guild/alliance does count/help, well..that's another problem. :/ When I first got GuildWars I joined my friend's guild, and theres only THREE of us in it, and we're the only guild in our "alliance." What makes it even worse is that the 2 friends in the guild haven't been online for a very long time. (over 11 months for one member, and about 3-4 months for the other.) Should I leave the guild and try to find a new one, or...do the points only count if I transfer? x_X;;; And if they only count for me, what's the quickest way to get points? (I've been doing as many quests as I can find and buying blessings from priests at save points.) |

You have to earn the points yourself. Quickest way would probably be Alliance Battles.

You gets the titles if YOU have transfered faction to your guild. You have to transfer so much faction yourself.

FFF = Fast Faction Farming
It consists of repeatedly doing the repeatable quest(s) for faction points. I don't know about the luxon ones, but on wiki.guildwars.com or www.gameswiki.org you should be able to find them. like on the kurzick side you can do the duel of the houses quest in just 2 - 3 min tops for 400 faction a run. |

You have to earn the first rank of the "Friend of the Kurzicks/Luxons" title track to be able to buy the skills. This is *not* the same thing as completing the "Befriending the Kurzicks/Luxons" quests.

The repeatable quest 'Jade Arena' is probably the best bang for your buck as far as Luxon faction/time. You *can* get 100k in a few days. FFF is generally associated with the scouting quest on Kurzick side which is likely not what you are looking for if you stay in your current guild.
Regarding guilds though, honestly you'll have more fun finding a guild who actually does what you like doing *with* you (ok, and aren't total losers ). Personally I'd find a new one, and just play with your friends if/when they do log in again ever. @ishmael: go read the op again, I think you may have overlooked the meaning of the entire first paragraph. |

The only problem with finding a new guild is that sometimes I take a day or two off to rest and/or play othe games. And that's during the summer when I don't take any college classes. When classes start back up, I may go 5-7 days without logging into GW. (usualy friday night/saturday I'll get a few hours in) and most guilds I've tried or heard of will kick you out if you're innactive for too long. x_X |

Ace2001 states :"Gah...So I've got 3-4 days of the jade-arena ahead of me. x_x!!"
I am sorry to burst your bubble but it's going to be a lot more that 3-4 days for the 85,000 more luxon faction points you will need. |
